Music can be a powerful (and fun!) teaching aid. It promotes active listening, supports recall, increases participation, and fosters relaxation. Music caters to a variety of types of learners, supports classroom management, and connects to movement. So . . . don’t forget the music!
Check out our Music for the Liturgical Year webpage for all our music resources and support materials. We’ve added some additional resources: new songs for Venture and Visions, Gathering Songs with Miss Heidi, and Spotlight on Liturgical Music podcast featuring John Burland. You also find song lyrics, a compilation of activities (finger plays, prayers, songs, and stretching activities), and the article “Seven Reason to Use Music in Your Classroom.”
