Good News / Buena Nueva children likely know many of the prayers of the Church, including the Our Father (Lord’s Prayer), the Hail Mary, and the creeds. They may not realize that the Sign of the Cross can be used alone as a short prayer as well as at the beginning and end of prayers.
Review the prayers of the Church in Our Prayers / Nuestra oraciones and About Prayer / La oración, which are available to download and print. Discuss with the children that these prayers and spontaneous or “made-up” prayers are ways that we talk with God.
