Education Specialist: Mr. Oscar Cruz
Oscar is the Catechumenate/OCIA Specialist for Bayard, Inc. He served as the director of the Catechumenate (RCIA) for the Archdiocese of New York (2005–2024). He holds a master’s degree in religious studies from St. Joseph’s Seminary, Yonkers, and a bachelor’s in Education and Theology from Manhattan College. Oscar is a frequent workshop presenter on the OCIA, Family Catechesis, and Adult Faith Formation in the Archdiocese of New York and other dioceses around the country.
