Pentecost Resources and More

Pentecost is an opportunity to help children and young people understand the role of the Holy Spirit in the Holy Trinity. Help them understand that Pentecost is the manifestation or revealing of the Christian Church by the Holy Spirit and the Spirit-inspired action of the Apostles to spread the Gospel. Explain that Catholics traditionally wear red to Mass on Pentecost Sunday. This liturgical color symbolizes the tongues of fire that rested upon the disciples and allowed them to preach the Good News through the power of the Holy Spirit. Share this Pentecost celebration (English, Spanish) at your parish.
