This Sunday’s Gospel ends with one of my favorite Scripture passages: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). It’s about community and Jesus’ presence when we gather in his name. That’s what our efforts in catechesis are about—gathering our young people in a community of faith, guiding them in the beliefs and practices of the Church, and helping them become aware of Jesus’ presence.
We pray that you and your students will become more aware of Jesus’ presence in your homes and classrooms—and that you and they always remember that your gatherings are in Jesus’ name.
