Although most of us were not able to gather to celebrate Holy Week and Easter this year, Easter came all the same! (It reminds me of how Christmas came to the Whos in Whoville despite the Grinch having stolen all the trappings of Christmas.)
Easter is the greatest celebration of our Church Year! Christ’s Resurrection is of such great importance that we can’t adequately celebrate it in one day, one week, or even one month. It takes a week of weeks (seven weeks) to celebrate Easter. We’ll be in the Easter season through Pentecost on May 31. I pray that some of us will be back in our churches for Mass by then.
There are many holy days and feasts celebrated every spring, many of them happening during or just after the Easter season. Download and share these activities. Since the dates for many of these feasts vary from year to year and are tied to the date of Easter, be sure to look up the dates of these celebrations for this current year.
