The Gospel is for all ages, so plan to bring families together to explore the Sunday Gospel!
The Gospel for All Ages Family Catechesis offers weekly Gospel-related questions for all ages, from preschool through adult. It centers on a family-wide proclamation of the Gospel for that Sunday, with recommended music, prayers, and activities that all ages can understand. It also provides opportunities for children to share what they’ve learned in their class sessions—from Gospel plays to prayer services and songs. It includes the Family Corner/Rincón de la Familia, which appears in the Gospel Weeklies lessons. You may wish to publish these family-centered prayers, activities, and questions in your parish or school bulletin. The Gospel for All Ages also offers detailed plans for five seasonal celebrations.
Another great weekly family resource is The Gospel at Home. Designed for busy families, The Gospel at Home provides a short description of the Sunday Gospel plus suggested activities and discussion starters for each age level of the Gospel Weeklies. These easy-to-do ideas will bring families together to share what each member has learned about the Gospel they heard on Sunday (and studied in class). Print them out to send home or put a link in a weekly newsletter. Available in both English and Spanish.
The Gospel for All Ages and The Gospel at Home are available free to parishes and schools using the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies.
