In Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells a parable to teach us to worry about our own actions before we criticize things other people do. When we are good, Jesus says, we produce good from our heart. But when we do evil things, they come from our heart as well. The point is to keep our hearts pure by loving God and one another.
