In December 2023, the year-and-a-half-long celebration of the Jubilee of the Sacred Heart of Jesus began. This is the commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the apparitions of the Heart of Jesus to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque at Paray-le-Monial, France. The first main apparition occurred on December 27, 1673. The Jubilee continues to June 27, 2025, the date of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.
