This week, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord on Thursday, August 6. In the Gospel for that day, Jesus is transfigured to show God’s glory. The three Apostles who accompany Jesus up the mountain see him in his resurrected glory. They hear God the Father claim Jesus as his beloved Son and tell them to listen to him. May we each find time this summer to quiet ourselves and listen for the many ways Jesus speaks to us.
