I used to live very close to Lake Erie, in the Cleveland, OH, suburbs. One evening, my daughter and I went to the beach to wait for the sunset. As I was looking at the sky change colors from orange, to red, to the most splendid tones of magenta and purple, I found myself thanking God for his Creation.
The Responsorial Psalm for this Sunday’s celebration of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity invites us to give praise to the Lord for the work of his fingers and hands. “How wonderful your name in all the earth!” we say as we pray.
Let us enjoy these summer months and the beauty they present to thank the Triune God for creating us and for showing his love and care for us through the splendor of his works.
