Catholics celebrate two special solemnities this week—the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (June 3) and the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (June 8). Given the many feasts that occur around this time, take the opportunity to share the significance of each with the children and their families. Send this Catholic resource page to your families and review prayer services and other articles related to these sacred celebrations.
- This prayer service from Today’s Catholic Teacher magazine may be used in your celebrations of the Most Holy Trinity on May 27 or the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (also known as Corpus Christi) on June 3.
- The month of June is consecrated to the Sacred Heart. You may choose to dedicate the remainder of your school year to Jesus or tuck this away for next year, at which time you may use this “Jesus, Take Over!” activity to dedicate your classroom—and students—to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
