Summer does not have to mean summer “slide.” These weeks can be the time for children to reset habits and make positive changes. As classes end and the children head off to summer activities, remind them that they can add prayer into their days at any time. The About Prayer / La oración activity sheet will help them remember the common prayers of the Church, including the Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary, and the Nicene Creed. Remind them that these prayers and more are in their What the Church Believes and Teaches handbooks, which should be sent home with them at the end of the program year.
