You’ve no doubt discovered that children learn in different ways. Some children light up when you say, “It’s time for a story.” Others want to act things out, discuss, sing, or draw. You’ve probably also learned that a strategy may work well one week, but it doesn’t work every week. You need to mix it up! Keeping your lessons fresh and interesting for all kinds of learners can be a challenge. Each week, the Gospel Weeklies editors comb the internet for video resources that fit with that Sunday’s Gospel theme.
The videos are short—usually 2 to 3 minutes—and selected to connect with different ages. Play them to start or end each lesson or occasionally to add variety to your regular plan. Videos can also be effective tools for settling a lively class or getting things back on track.
