Students may choose to be Jesus, Peter, the other disciples, Judas, the crowd, Pilate, or the women. Encourage them to consider the Gospel stories of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem as well as his Passion. (CCSS/ ELA-Literacy.W.8.3/CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.8.4)
l SS: Assign the students a small independent research project on a historical event. As they research, work with them to create questions about the resources they are using. Encourage them to then use these questions to further their research. (D2. His.12.6-8)

Catholic Identity Project of the Week
Organize a walk around the property to sing and offer prayers in praise
of Jesus. Coordinate with the other classes and invite the entire parish to attend. Consider having your group be the leaders of the parade, carrying ribbon banners, and giving instructions to the younger groups.
Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l March 26: Saint Margaret Clitherow – During the difficult days of the persecution of Catholics in England, Margaret remained faithful to her Catholic faith, even to the point of going to jail. Pray: Lord, help us to be faithful to you even when doing so isn’t popular. Amen.
l March 29–April 1: Paschal (Easter) Triduum – This “three-day festival” is the high point of our Liturgical Year. Beginning with the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Thursday), it continues with the Good Friday service, reaches its peak at the Easter Vigil Mass, and concludes on Easter Sunday evening.
