Create word problems using the scenarios students brainstormed, then have the students solve the problems using positive and negative rational numbers (particularly with fractions and decimals). (CCSS.Math.Content.7.EE.B.3)
l SS: Have small groups investigate the physical and human characteristics of a particular area on Earth. Allow each group
to present their findings, then, as a class, analyze and discuss how these characteristics are connected to human identities and cultures. (D2.Geo.6.6-8)

Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l March 19: Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary – The Bible says Joseph was a “righteous” man (Matthew 1:19). This means that he was open to all that God wanted to do for and through him. Pray: Lord, help us to be open to your will. Amen.
l March 24: Blessed Oscar Romero – Archbishop Romero found
the courage to speak out after the murder of several priests who defended the rights of the poor in El Salvador. Speaking up for what was right led to him being shot and killed while saying Mass.
Pray: Lord, give us the courage to do what’s right. Amen.
