Curriculum Connections
l ELA: Invite the students to generate questions they have about the use of sheep in various industries (suggestions include scientific research such as cloning, fair wages for sheep farmers, etc.). Then have each student select a question to research. The students should use several sources and write a report on what they learn. (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.8.7)
l Sci: By nature of our presence, we have an impact on the environment. Have the students apply scientific principles to design a way to monitor and minimize human impact on the environment. (NGSS.MS-ESS3-3)

Catholic Identity Project of the Week
In the busy-ness of life, it is easy to forget all God does for us. This week, have each child make a Gratitude List. Have each child brainstorm things she or he is grateful to God for and add them to the list. Encourage the young people to add to their list each week.
Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l April 25: Saint Mark, Evangelist – Mark was not one of the 12 Apostles and may not have known Jesus personally. He drew on Peter’s witness and the Churches in Jerusalem and Antioch as sources for his Gospel, which is the oldest and shortest of the four.
l April 28: Saint Gianna Beretta Molla – This 20th-century Italian wife, mother, and pediatrician was a champion of unborn children. Early in her sixth pregnancy, doctors discovered she had a uterine tumor. Gianna allowed them to remove the tumor but insisted her child be protected. Gianna died a week after giving birth to baby Gianna.
