l Sci: Prior to class, cut up strips of paper with different objects on them (cars, train, meteor, rocket, house, fence, etc.). Arrange the students into small groups, and have each group select two pieces of paper. Then have them use Newton’s Third Law to design a solution to a problem involving the motion of two colliding objects. Supply necessary measurements for each group. Students will then present their designs to the class. (NGSS.MS-PS2-1)

Catholic Identity Project of the Week
Meals are central to our lives as Catholics. This week, help your group organize a parish potluck as a way to come together and celebrate community and Eucharist outside of Sunday liturgy. They should assign each group in the parish a different item to bring and make flyers to publicize outside of the religious education program.
Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l April 16: Saint Bernadette Soubirous – This sickly daughter of a poor French miller was gifted with 18 Visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1858. Lourdes has become one of the most popular Marian shrines in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year.
l April 21: Saint Anselm, Bishop and Doctor of the Church – An original and independent thinker, Anselm became one of the Church’s greatest theologians and leaders. He was also admired for his patience, gentleness, and teaching skill. An opponent of the slave trade of his time, his care and concern extended to the very poorest people.
