l SS: Discuss with the students the idea that environmental and cultural characteristics influence the population of an area. Have the students create a list of characteristics that may lead to an increase and decrease in population. Then ask the students to research different areas around the world to determine if their hypothesis is correct. Share as a class at the end. (D2.Geo.6.3-5)

Ask each child to commit to doing one thing to “grow” their relationship with God every day (e.g., say a special prayer, be kind to a sibling). Explain that when we concentrate on loving Jesus, we have a positive impact on the world.
Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l March 19: Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary – The Bible says Joseph was a “righteous” man (Matthew 1:19). This means that he was open to all that God wanted to do for and through him. Pray: Lord, help us to be open to your will. Amen.
l March 24: Blessed Oscar Romero – Archbishop Romero found
the courage to speak out after the murder of several priests who defended the rights of the poor in El Salvador. Speaking up for what was right led to him being shot and killed while saying Mass.
Extending the Lesson
Pray: Lord, give us the courage to do what’s right. Amen.
