Catholic Identity Project of the Week
Just as we sometimes need to cut things from our life in order to grow
or to grow closer to God, it is very important to prune plants so they can grow. Coordinate with the 7th- and 8th-grade religious educators to help clean up a local park. Invite parents to be part of the cleanup efforts.
Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l April 29: Saint Catherine of Siena – Catherine was an intelligent, cheerful, and intensely religious person. In spite of her contemplative lifestyle, she took note of public affairs.
l May 3: National Day of Prayer (USA)
l May 3: Saints Philip and James, Apostles – Little is known about
these two of the 12 Apostles. Although we know nothing remarkable about them from the Gospels, Jesus chose them to be among the
12 pillars of his Church. Ask: How can we be faithful in quiet yet important ways?
Unit 4: We Celebrate Jesus’ Death and Resurrection l
