(pages 2–3) Invite the children to open Seeds to pages 2–3. Invite them that this picture has lots of things wrong with it. Ask them to put an X on each thing they see wrong in this picture. Give them time to enjoy the illustration, then discuss what they’ve found.Some of the things that are wrong are just silly. Ask: What are the silly things? Others are wrong because the children are not keeping family rules. Ask: What are pictures of someone breaking a rule?Sing and Stretch Use the song “God Gave Me Hands” (CD-1, #13) for a stretch break.Activity l Family Prayer Card (page 4) If you haven’t already cut the strip with the prayer card activity from the restof the page, ask the children to cut on the black vertical line on page 4. Have them turn the heart faceup and listen as you read the words. Read them again and ask the children to point to one of the hearts each time you say love. Tell them this will be a card they can keep at home to remind them of Jesus’ two rules: Love God and love each other.Cut around the dark heavy line around the top of the heart for each child. Then show the children how to make the folds. Tape the bottom flaps together.Closing Prayer Gather the children sitting in the prayer circle with their heart prayer cards in front of them. Have a puppet praise the children for following classroom rules by listening and cleaning up. Ask them to follow the words as you read the prayer.End your prayer and session by playing and singing “LOVE God” (CD-2, #21).Remind the children to share their Gospel Weeklies with their families and to do the Family Corner activities and prayer together.Lesson Wrap-UpVisit to download Seeds Weekly Review template.Use Activity #25 from the Seeds Activity Book as a take-home activity or lesson wrap-up.Unit 1: We Are the Church l TG1-27
