It is a good practice to review these regularly to help the children become familiar with them and begin to memorize them. The Lord’s Prayer is the prayer at Mass that everyone says together. Take it line by line, giving the children opportunity to ask questions and check out difficult words.Have the children close the What the Church Believes and Teaches handbooks and return to Promise, page 2–3.Live the GospelObjective The children will plan a party that celebrates their friendships.Activity l I celebrate with friends. (pages 2–3) Open Promise to the inside pages. Read the words at the bottom of page 2 aloud. Ask: How many children are at the party? How many balloons are there? What are the party foods. Invite the children to circle those foods and drinks that they would like to have at a party. Invite them to draw in the faces of friends they would like at their party and print the names of their guests on the balloons.Lesson Wrap-UpVisit to download Promise Weekly Review template.Use Activity #21 from the Promise Activity Book as a take-home activity or lesson wrap-up.Unit 1: We Are the Church l TG1-19The NEW Gospel WeekliesPFLAUM GOSPEL WEEKLIES Faith Formation Program
