Family Catechesis: Plan a Pentecost Event

The arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was such a powerful experience that the Apostles could only express it in terms of the roaring of a mighty wind and the blazing tongues of fire. In many parishes, Pentecost marks one of the last large-scale Church celebrations before families disperse for the summer. Make it a great one! The Gospel for All Ages offers “A Mighty Wind: A Celebration of the Spirit,” with complete plans to celebrate the birthday of the Church. The downloadable planner includes a timeline, proposed schedule, Gospel reflections and questions, communication tips, and a closing Litany. The Gospel for All Ages weekly reflection questions and gathering plans will resume this fall on September 22 for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time. A fall event will be posted in mid-July. Stay tuned for details in GROW.
