Invite the children in your classroom and home to pray along with Pope Francis and others in the universal Church for Pope Francis’ monthly prayer intention. In December, he asks us to pray for the elderly: “That the elderly, sustained by families and Christian communities, may apply their wisdom and experience to spreading the faith and forming the new generations.” This prayer intention coincides well with the upcoming collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious (12/9 and 12/10), upcoming intergenerational family gatherings, and holiday visits to elder care facilities.
